Accessibility
This site is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard adopted by the U.S. Department of Justice for state and local government web content under Title II of the ADA (28 CFR Part 35).
What that looks like here:
- Pages are semantic HTML with proper headings, landmarks, and labels, and work with keyboard navigation and screen readers.
- Mathematics is rendered as MathML, so screen readers can read equations term by term rather than encountering an image.
- Figures carry text descriptions, tables carry header markup, and color is never the only carrier of meaning. Text contrast meets or exceeds the 4.5:1 minimum.
- Pages reflow for small screens and zoom to 200% without horizontal scrolling; wide tables and equations scroll within their own frame and are keyboard-reachable.
- Lecture slides are keyboard-navigable and their content is available to screen readers. Each deck is also available as a tagged PDF (one slide per page, validated against PDF/UA-2).
- Every PDF on the site (worksheets, notes, slides, the syllabus) is tagged and validated against the PDF/UA-2 standard with veraPDF.
If you hit a barrier on this site or in any course material, please email me at dbhagia@fullerton.edu and I will fix it or provide the material in a form that works for you. For accommodations at CSUF more broadly, contact Disability Support Services.
